Michelle Forbes

FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping

Michelle excelled in her class, consistently producing high quality work and demonstrated a strong commitment to learning through active participation in class discussions and independent research. She took initiative to go beyond the required coursework, engaging in additional work to deepen her understanding and practical skills.

Her leadership role in a group assignment during a virtual education program with the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore led the Holmesglen team to success.

Having recently achieved her goal of securing a job in bookkeeping, Michelle hopes to study further in the field of accounting.

Fiona Perry

SFL30115 Certificate III in Floristry

Fiona has always been interested in Botany and obtained her PhD in Horticulture at university.

Her love of floristry drew her to attend an Open Day at Holmesglen where she was struck by the friendliness of the environment she encountered.

With her newfound talents, she soon went on to win first place in the Purely Australian category in the National Wildflowers Australia Floristry Competition.

A big fan of vocational education, Fiona would like to someday teach floristry in the same training style she experienced at TAFE. 

Kayla Leong

22614VIC Certificate II in Carpentry

Kayla has a remarkable work ethic and the ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and apply them effectively in practical solutions.

In the carpentry program, she displayed attention to detail, a thirst for knowledge, and extraordinary artistic abilities, all essential qualities for success in her chosen trade.

Inspired by family renovation projects, her interest in construction led her to seek alternative learning avenues beyond universities. Having previously studied Early Childhood at Holmesglen, Kayla believes she found her true calling in Carpentry and is now eager to pursue further education in the Building and Construction sector.
